Bhakti Atlas uses only images that are in the public domain or released under free licences. We favour historical works from museum collections, then photographs dedicated to the public domain (CC0), then photographs under Creative Commons Attribution licences. Images were resized and cropped to a 3:2 format; no other changes were made.

Typefaces and logo

Text is set in Vollkorn, designed by Friedrich Althausen, and interface elements in Karla, designed by Jonathan Pinhorn; both are published under the SIL Open Font License and served from this site. The Bhakti Atlas logo, an open book crossed by two river lines, was drawn for this publication.

Texts

All articles are original texts by the editors of Bhakti Atlas. Short quotations from scriptures are given in transliteration from texts in the public domain; translations and paraphrases are our own. Books, translations, recordings and photographs once linked from this domain belong to their authors and publishers and are not reproduced here.
